Managing a digital business can be quite expensive. There are probably quite a lot of expensive tools you’re paying on a monthly and yearly basis. However, many of the amazing tools that I use very regularly, if not on a daily basis and I really can’t imagine my business without them, are in fact completely free business tools.
So in this blog post, I will share 6 Must-Have Free Business Tools that are completely free and that have saved me tons of time in my business.
Quick Disclosure: Some of these links happen to be affiliate links which means when you click the link to purchase something on this page, it won’t cost you more but I may receive a commission for sharing this with you. Which is great, because I was going to share it with you anyway!

6 Must-Have Free Business Tools
1. Canva
The first tool that you probably already use or at least have heard of is Canva. Canva is a graphic design tool, which makes it super easy and accessible to design everything from social media graphics, and logo’s to lead magnets, and banners, you name it.
In their free version, they have so many free stock pictures, elements, fonts, and animated stickers that you can use to create the design you want.
You don’t need any graphic design skills as you would normally need with other graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, which have quite a steep learning curve.
2. Notion
The second tool I use every single day that is completely free is Notion. Notion is an all-in-one information management tool, where all the information I need to manage my business is centralized.
All of my content, to-do’s, projects, affiliate marketing info,… literarily everything is in there. I love that it’s such a versatile tool and it allows you to organize everything so neatly in one single place, instead of using 5 different tools at once.
You can make it as simple or as aesthetically pleasing as you like.
I have a whole blog post that goes in-depth on why Notion is the hands-down best productivity tool to manage your business.
3. Later
The third tool I love using and that has an amazing free plan is the social media scheduling tool Later. You can connect all your social media platforms with Later, and schedule up to 30 different posts per social media platform per month for free.
You can just drag and drop the social media graphics to the time slots you want, add your caption, schedule it and forget about it.
And in this way, you can really batch create and schedule your social media posts for the upcoming weeks, so you don’t have to worry about these anymore.
4. Otter
Another tool I absolutely love and discovered not too long ago is Otter. Otter is an app on your phone which allows you to record voices and transcribe them flawlessly.
I use it for brainstorming for my blog posts. I will just press record, ramble a bit about everything I know about a certain topic and then Otter will transcribe it, and I will then use this as the foundation for my blog post.
You also used it to repurpose podcast episodes to blog posts or to create closed captions for your videos.
With their free version, you have 600 minutes (which is 10 hours of recording time) for free.
5. Yoast SEO
Another tool that is worth mentioning is Yoast SEO, which is a WordPress plug-in that helps you with making your blog posts SEO-optimized.
This plugin makes something as complex and overwhelming as SEO so simple and doable. It shows a checklist that walks you through all the places where you need to mention your keywords.
And, it shows green, orange, or red light, depending on how well you have optimized your blog post for SEO.
So, just make sure that your Yoast SEO light is green and you’re good to go.
6. Grammarly
And, last but not least, the spelling corrector Grammarly is amazing. You can either download the desktop app or chrome extension, and it will automatically underline spelling and grammar mistakes and suggest what to write instead.
It honestly has saved me from so many embarrassing mistakes.
So I really recommend using these six free tools in your business!
