You might have been in situations where you noticed that the only thing that is standing between you and real success in your biz is just your own mindset. You might even have realized that you actively self sabotage sometimes.
- Maybe you are procrastinating working on this important project that you know will move the needle further in your biz
- Maybe you stayed up super late the night before an early meeting you know will have a big impact
- Maybe you are postponing creating tha t webinar you have planned ages ago
- Maybe you have convinced yourself you aren’t ready to launch yet
There are so many ways that you might be unconsciously sabotaging your own success.
In this blog post, I’ll share some essential tips on how to finally stop self sabotage, so you can become unstoppable in your biz!

Step 1. Make a list of all the times you think you might have sabotaged yourself.
This exercise will allow you to cultivate awareness about your self sabotage patterns, so that the next time when you’re about to sabotage yourself, you can actually take a step back and stop it from happening.
Step 2. Ask yourself WHY you self sabotage
Why is it that you’re sabotaging yourself?
- Do you unconsciously think of that you might lose people that are close to you once you have reached success?
- Do you think you don’t deserve to be successful?
- Do you think that success might change you as a person?
- Do you know other people who have reached success and because of that success changed?
- What where the stories that you were told as a kid about successful or rich people?
- Does success have a negative connotation to you?
- Were there any events that happened during your childhood where successful or rich people have hurt you and your family?
Journal and reflect on a deep level about these questions and try to uncover patterns that might explain where this self sabotage behavior comes from.
And once you understand where it comes from, it will lose its power over you.
Step 3. Question these limiting beliefs
The next step is to accept that these limiting beliefs and fears you have, don’t necessarily hold any truth.
So, ask yourself… is this thing I believe the absolute truth or is it just a story that I am telling myself?
And when you think it is the absolute truth, ask yourself honestly if you don’t might have unconsciously searched for all this evidence to re-confirm your beliefs, and ignored the proof that these beliefs aren’t true.
And I know, girl. It’s painful to admit that these beliefs that you have held onto forever, are just lies that we were telling ourselves in order to protect ourselves.
It’s absolutely okay to be emotional, or have resistance when it comes to questioning and challenging these beliefs.
Try to realize that these beliefs are no longer serving you. On the contrary, these are holding you back from your true potential.
Step 4. Stop self sabotage by fear-setting
When the thing that is standing in between you and real success in your biz is rather fears than limiting beliefs, then this exercise is for you.
This exercise is inspired by Tim Ferris and is all about minimizing your fears by making them super concrete and specific.
Ask yourself what is the worst scenario that could possibly happen?
Now, how can you anticipate this worst-case scenario from happening? What actions can you take to prevent it?
And ok, now imagine that this worst-case scenario actually happened… What are the consequences? And how could you deal with these consequences?
Doing this exercise is so incredibly powerful because it really makes you see the situations exactly for what they are… You don’t blow them up in your head anymore. You take back your power and focus on what YOU can do to control this worst-case scenario from happening in the first place OR dealing with the consequences so the damage is limited.
